Ingredients:
• 2 pounds of frozen French cut green beans
• 1 medium onion
• 2 garlic cloves
• 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
• ¼ teaspoon sea salt or to taste
• ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper or to taste
• ¼ cup toasted slivered almonds
Preparation:
• In a large saucepan, heat olive oil. Add onions and garlic and sauté until translucent about 2 – 3 minutes.
• Reduce to low heat and add green beans. Mix well and cover saucepan. Cook for about 12 – 15 minutes mixing occasionally.
• Transfer green beans to a bowl and garnish with toasted slivered almonds.
• Serve with turkey, chicken, fish or steak.
• Leftovers will keep refrigerated for 5 days.
